Dreaming of summer? Looking for a winter indoor activity for the family? Try an indoor dive-in movie!Ā 

What you need for an indoor Dive-in movie

Get out the summer fun bag!Ā 

  1. Swim suits and coverups if they get chilly
  2. Goggles for fun
  3. Beach towels to cozy up with during the movie
  4. Pool floats
  5. A blue tablecloth for the ‘water’

These are the items that will help transform your living room into a ‘pool’.Ā 

Set the scene for the Indoor dive-in movie

We used an hombre pattern blue tablecloth to turn our family room floor into a pool! We got this one at Target, but there are a few good ones on Amazon too! You can also transform your carpet or hardwood floor into a pool with white butcher paper rolls and markers. Draw waves, sea creatures and other swimmers!

Seating for the Dive-in movie

Break out the pool floats! We have an air compressor in the garage, so dad was in charge of blowing up the floats! Each kid took turns on the different floats to make it fun and interesting. If you don’t have floats, the winter is a great time to get some for the summer. Check these options out from Amazon!

Snacks for the Dive-in movie

Every movie needs some good snacks, right? And you’re bound to be hungry with all that ‘swimming’! Make snacks and drinks that fit the theme!
